This year we are renting a nice venue in downtown Hamar for a full night of demoshows, live acts and mingling in proper demoscene fashion.
For those of you looking at booking flights for multiple demoparties this easter: Thursday April 5th is the night you don’t want to miss!

We’ve just been informed that due to plane issues, Ferris will be delayed to the point where his DJ set this evening will not take place. However, we have such awesome people coming out to our party, that we crowdsourced this evening’s entertainment, and we are glad to announce that Randy/MRC will be providing the evening’s audial entertainment. He will be subjecting your ears to a sweet mix of c64, Amigaaaaah and Gameboy music to dance the night away to.
And we’ll see if we can’t squeeze Ferris in a bit later in the week

If for some reason you can not make it out to us, and you still want to take part in the awesomeness, you may be interested in the various streams that are available for your viewing entertainment. We worked closely with our good friends at SceneSat to provide a radio stream, but unfortunately a number of circumstances made that impossible. However, there are several other ways to follow the seminars, shows and compos from The Gathering and the live sets from EasterGarden.
The Gathering provides a comprehensive set of streaming options from their streaming page and we will set things up to stream from the live events at EasterGarden. We’ll post the url’s for that once we have everything set up, so stay tuned for this evening’s awesome Ferris set of Gameboy music. Meanwhile, it’s a good idea to keep up to date with the schedules for both EasterGarden and The Gathering, so you’ll know when to check in.

So, with the crew (and our first couple of guests) firmly in place, time has come to remind you, our beloved visitors, of a couple of things. The easter holidays in Norway means you cannot buy your adult beverages at any time you want. In fact, tomorrow – our opening day, wednesday – is the last day you can buy such items. Shops are open for beverage business (beer and such) until 18 on this day, and the Vinmonopolet (for your hard liquor needs – remember to tip your organizer!) until 15. If you can read a scandinavian language, there is more information here.
And, just to be clear – we DO NOT sell beer. There may be surprises and whatnot, but we do not SELL beer. No selling of beer. From us. Right? Right.
We love you.

The organizers of Revision and Eastergarden have teamed up to bring the two events closer together! With SceneSat interviews and a 24h videochat station at each end you will be able to get in touch with people from the other side. And if you can’t attend either of those parties – you can always watch the streams!
RevisionTV will broadcast from 22.04.2011 at http://rvtv.revision-party.net
Eastergarden and The Gathering streams available from http://www.eastergarden.net soon!

As I’m sure you know, Eastergarden brings the Party to Demoparty, and what event is complete with some banging music to get down to? So without further ado, we present our first two performing acts for Eastergarden 2011.
Thursday night will see Ferris/Youth Uprising joining us from the States to do a DJ set of Gameboy music – featuring remix compilations of tracks by other artists, but also his own tracks done live onstage – on real Gameboy hardware!
Friday night, for the Scene.org Awards afterparty, we have something special in store. The winner of last year’s music competition at The Gathering, and the musician behind the winning demo from last year, Phon – on stage, together, making sure it will truly be a night to remember! That’s right – Flipside from OVRPWR and Kaktusen from PlayPsyCo kicking your asses far into Saturday morning.
Now, for the bad news; due to a last-minute cancellation, the wednesday spot is currently open for a dj session or live act. Feel free to email us, or stop by our irc channel #eastergarden on either efnet or ircnet for a chat if interested. If noone volunteers, Menace has threatened to do a set himself, and you know full well that only Truck would approve of that one.
More information about our acts can be found in the following places; Ferris’ blog, Kaktusen homepage and twitter, Flipside’s band OVRPWR homepage, MySpace and twitter.

Right at this moment, Menace, Nerve and Quarryman (flanked by Archmage) are travelling down to lovely Gothenburg, Sweden for Datastorm. Datastorm is our kind of party, perfectly embodying the oldskool spirit that we strive for in all the parties we help organize. You may not be aware, but the Eastergarden organizing team is made up of members of the organizing teams of each and every other current Norwegian demoparty – Kindergarden, Solskogen and The Gathering are all on our cv. But that’s not what is important right now, Datastorm is. We’d love for you guys to seek us out, and have a chat with us while we’re down there – perhaps you have thoughts on our event, want to secure an invitation, or just have a beer and shoot the breeze.
See you at the bar.

EasterGarden is a demoparty which takes place April 20th–24th, 2011 in Hamar, Norway. This accidentally coincides with The Gathering, which is being held near by, at the same time.
EasterGarden completes the authentic demoparty experience for visitors to The Gathering. Enjoy the great atmosphere, competitions, Scene.org Awards, seminars and massive sound and vision system at The Gathering, and pull back to EasterGarden for some traditional demoparty fun outside hours.
